Wilson Blade 98 V7
The Blade 98 incorporates a technology called FeelFlex which uses Carbon Mapping to add torsional stability while also helping the racquet flex in ways that would compliment any player’s game. Feelflex replaces countervail in previous version which in some views made Blade too muted. The new Blade has RA rating of 62 and a respectable 328 swingweight which translates to having a buttery feel and a massive plow through. For this generation, Wilson adds a longer grip taper to the handle, resulting in easier hand positioning for players with two-handed backhands.
How it Plays:
From the baseline, Blade 98 feels great at ball impact, with better ball-pocketing and more feedback at your finger tips. Advanced Players will have more than adequate power to generate massive groundies. The returns feel full of control and purposeful. At net, the Blade 98 feels fast and on target to finish volleys.
Players looking for a classic Blade with some modern spin and control will be impressed with this very remarkable update.
